The Reservoir Railway Station Project was apart of the Level Crossing Removal Project and involved removal of the notoriously congested High Street Level Crossing. Since completion, motorists have been able to drive through the High Street intersection beneath the one-kilometre long rail bridge unobstructed by trains and pedestrians and cyclists, now have improved access east-to-west links, with the pedestrian plaza and shared user paths connecting Edwardes Street and Broadway.

BASE Industries scope of works consisted of:

  • Stretcher Stair Scaffold Accesses
  • Design, fabrication and installation of Modular Public Stair
  • Scope of works included design, fabrication and installation of a steel modular stair designed to meet AS1657, AS/NZs 5131 and DDA regulations.
  • Stretcher stair scaffolds were installed throughout the project to provide access to offices, amenities and station platforms.

Access to Solutions

BASE Industries consulted with the client in depth and invested time and energy which resulted in the modular public stair being designed and fabricated to ensure that it could be quickly and easily, installed and moved on site. The stair required no onsite welding and modules that made up the stair were delivered to site fully assembled and cladded so only bolting of the module pieces were required on site.
